The Nepal Tiger Trust has initiated camera trapping in the Daunne Devi Buffer Zone, located in the westernmost end of Chitwan National Park in the Parasi District. Having completed the task in Block One, the focus has now shifted to Block Four, encompassing the Daunne Devi Buffer Zone and four community forests: Madar Baba, Tin Chuli, Panbari, and Tundikhel.

In collaboration with the national park and buffer zone community forestry groups, the team set up ten sets of camera traps over three days starting December 15, 2024. Participants included one ranger from Tamaspur post, three community forest guards, one CBAPU member, and two local community forestry leaders. Under the guidance of senior technician Baburam Mahato and Raju Kumal, these individuals received training and will continue their collective efforts in the camera trapping initiative.
